Our 3D Design services focus on designing jigs, fixtures, robot grippers, and other equipment required for BIW welding lines, based on the process plan. The team conducts internal design reviews to optimize panel location, clamping, weld accessibility, operator ergonomics, and quality. Collaboration with Robot Simulation Engineers ensures optimal robot reachability with minimal repositions. The final step involves conducting a Design Approval Process (DAP) with the customer to secure approval before creating manufacturing drawings.

The Faith team assists customers in selecting robots based on payload capacity and reachability requirements. We design optimized robot cells that make the best use of available layout space. The team develops robot paths, collaborates with the design team for any necessary modifications, and, once finalized, creates the Offline Robot Program (OLP) to ensure a swift and efficient line installation.

The automation team at Faith begins each project with Controls Design, adhering to customer standards and requirements. They also design pneumatic circuits for jigs and fixtures, obtaining approval from the customer during the Design Approval Process (DAP), along with the controls drawings.

After getting customer approvals on the 3D Designs, Faith Team creates manufacturing drawings with the BOM (Bill of Material). Also, Team supports its customers with CNC Patch Data / IGES models of NC Blocks preparation for manufacturing, inspection data & inspection sheet preparation and preparation of cylinder and sensor sheet (Pneumatic Circuit diagram & Sensor Logic Matrix)

The team at Faith brings years of experience working with a diverse range of customers. They are proficient in working with various PLCs, including Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Keyence, and Toyopuc (for Toyota only). This team collaborates closely with the design and simulation teams to review all logic, interlocks, and zoning for robots, ensuring minimal installation and integration time on-site.

Using inputs from Process Planning and the customer’s plant layout, Faith Layout engineers create a comprehensive project layout that includes all equipment placement, panel flow, logistics, and utilities such as power, air, and water distribution. The layout also indicates the positioning of safety equipment, safety fences, and cable trays. Additionally, the team supports customers by providing separate layouts for utilities, safety, and installation markings.
